RAYA was founded by Raya Taver, a European-trained aesthetician, and Norman, a former NASA engineer and scientist—a visionary husband-and-wife team who brought their European expertise to the United States in the late 1970s. Originally established in Europe in 1964, RAYA Laboratories, Inc. has grown into a leading manufacturer of high-quality personal care products, known for combining innovation with time-honored skincare traditions.
Our company is rooted in a deep dedication to quality, effectiveness, and consistency. Every RAYA product is developed and manufactured in Los Angeles, using the finest ingredients and expertly refined techniques built on over four decades of professional skincare experience.
We operate a uniquely self-contained, 100,000 sq. ft. cosmetic production facility and headquarters in Los Angeles, where we create the finest skincare products at extremely competitive prices. Our adjacent 10,000 sq. ft. Flagship Day Spa—the largest skincare spa in Los Angeles—exclusively uses RAYA products in all of its treatments, every single day.
